Jeera and pepper Colored rice

This Chitranna is very less spicy and this is done in Mutts in a particular month when there is restrictions for vegetables.

Recipe goes like this:
3 tbsp Ghee
1 tbsp Jeera
1 tbsp Pepper
Salt according to your taste
1 fistful dry coconut (optional)
150 gms of Cooked rice

For Tempering:
1 tbsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp urad dhal
1 tbsp channa dhal
1 pinch of turmeric powder

Preparation:
In a mixer jar put Jeera and pepper and make it as dry powder and keep it ready.

Firstly in a frying pan pour 3 tbsp of ghee, let it get heated add mustard seeds after the spluttering of mustard seeds add urad dhal, add channa dhal, pinch of turmeric, add finely grinded Jeera and pepper powder and fry it around 2 to 3 minutes, switch off the flame your tampering is ready.

Next in a broad based container put cooked rice add the tampering, add salt, add coconut mix it thoroughly and your Chitranna is ready to serve.
